In the 3rd and last part of this series, I run the ducting for the air box, test fit it into the car, get it painted, and then install it in the car with a filter.
In part 2, I design and fabricate the secondary air box, which will allow air to be brought in from under the car. I use Adobe Illustrator to create the box pieces and then use a laser cutter to cut the shapes. Finally, I assemble the box and test fit it in the car.
I install a custom air box that I got from Japan into my 1985 Mazda RX-7. In part 1, I relocate the radiator coolant overflow reservoir in order to make room for the air box.
After re-locating the battery and installing the custom dash, I start up my RX-7. This involved a lot of work (covered in the Battery Cutoff install video previously posted). It was great to finally get it running again. Check out the video here:

Last year, at Sevenstock 19, I had the honor of being invited to run my car with the Mazda 4-rotor race cars, which included the “Renown”-livery 787B, the updated 787B, the 792P, and the 4-rotor FC GTO car. What a thrill that was. This is the video I took from that unforgettable event.
